• we are each other’s harvest; we are each other’s business; we are each other’s magnitude and bond.

    Gwendolyn Brooks

The Grounded Nomad Co. was born on a Southwest Airlines napkin, shortly after I returned from a long-term stay in coastal Ecuador. During that time, I met so many people leading nomadic lives — whether working remotely or journeying à la Eat Pray Love.

Despite the transient nature of the hostel, I was deeply moved by the loving, sustaining bonds individuals were able to form — connecting across diversity, genuinely enjoying each other’s company, permitting themselves the beauty of experiencing the moment.

Yoga was one realm of connection, along with the shared meals, the time on the surf board, the lingering in the common areas. I envision retreat structures that recreate this magic & invite a certain knowing that it is always accessible to us, not just in faraway beach towns.

The word grounded captures this idea: that no matter where we go, we take ourselves with us. It’s about balancing this desire for adventure with steadiness, with purpose.

I believe we need both safety & spontaneity to create truly transformative experiences.

Through my retreats, I aim to foster this balance, offering spaces for
deep connection, mindful travel, & an enduring sense of community.
